About the Role

Responsible for having integrated one CORE solution for each business function – Engineering, Finance, Human Capital & Procurement. Support the Business Users in using CORE Applications. Responsible for making sure the CORE systems meet the business requirements. Responsible for process alignment and integration between Business functions. Responsible for leading teams in design, development, test, and deployment and maintain of current and new features of CORE COTS applications. 

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage the Governance of COTs application across Group IT.
  • Manage the all DP World CORE COTs applications.
  • Responsible for leading teams of in design, development, test, and deployment of new features and products Ensuring application life cycle management
  • Take ownership of the architecture, quality, performance, and operational excellence of the product
  • Ensure that all users requirement is adequately managed in requirement, commitment to deliver and per Group IT architecture and governance framework
  • Manage applications’ life cycle cost and maintenance
  • Ensure that COTs applications are adequately maintained, users’ needs are adequately met through formal program change controls.
  • Provide Applications and Technical Support to other HO IT teams and Project Managers
  • Manage third party vendors and stakeholders
  • Manage communications with all stakeholders
  • Ownership of the architecture, quality, performance, and operational excellence of the product your team manages
  • Work with key business and process owners on the transition to the new business processes, change management.
  • Applicable if role has direct reports - responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound.

Qualifications and experience

Core skills: Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices.

  • Experience with database management.
  • Familiarity with Project management principles.
  • Experience with Information system troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated skill in developing automated business systems.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

Advanced skills:

  • Knowledge of advanced systems analysis methods, practices, and principles.
  • Knowledge of cost modelling principles.
  • Experience preparing workflow analyses.
  • Experience leading and facilitating training.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Relevant experience and detailed business process knowledge of Ports & Shipping domain
  • Effective communicator, written and spoken. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent listener. Intuitive
