About the Role To direct and manage effective communications ‘dialogues’ with all DP World key EXTERNAL stakeholders around the globe. The central objective is to express & demonstrate the DP World Brand Purpose through communications programmes, which support the businesses and build awareness &preference for the brand
Key Accountabilities

Strategy. To develop and maintain a Global Communications Strategy which expresses the Brand Purpose for all key External stakeholder groups, including :

  - target stakeholder profiles and clear identification of their importance to the business

- measurable brand and business objectives

- value propositions, based on stakeholder insights and differentiation (beyond table-stakes)


Planning. To develop and manage a 3-year rolling Global Communications Plan, based on :

- measurable communications objectives

- selection of the most appropriate activities, channels and platforms

- recommended investment levels consistent with envisaged outcomes and ROI


Implementation. To drive effective and cost-efficient Execution of communication plans, through :

- internal collaboration with appropriate business and communications personnel (including where

-  necessary  specialists in Legal, Investor Relations, Government Relations etc)                

- effective selection and management of external agencies

- deployment of shared best practices and standards


Measurement. To establish and report on a Strategic Dashboard of measurements which :

- monitor performance against targets/KPIs on key communications objectives

- track progress against overall brand and business objectives

- justify investment on the basis of robustly measured outcomes and ROI


Tactical Responsiveness. To maintain the ability to respond to unforeseen changes, including :

- short-term opportunities

- unforeseen competitive initiatives

- ‘crisis management’


Continuous Improvement. To encourage and nurture a culture of innovation designed to :

- test and validate new ideas and approaches

- explore opportunities for enhanced cost-efficiency (‘doing more with less’)

- expand and strengthen professional skill-sets and best practices in brand and communications


Compliance. To constantly adhere to and actively promote behaviours which reflect the Brand Purpose while specifically :

- maintaining the highest levels of Safety standards

- complying with Founders Principles, Code of Conduct and Ethical policies

- meeting all agreed standards for DP World Brand and Visual Identity


Experience & Qualification

In order to give credible support to the organisation and be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Tertiary level Communications qualification required
  • Minimum of ten years external relations experience
