About the Programme

This programme is designed to acquire an in-depth understanding of DP World’s core business operations from strategic planning to terminal operations, preparing the individual for a long term career opportunity with DP World. Acquire new skills and learning by providing assistance and support in department projects.

The Management Trainee must complete the following:

  • Obtain an understanding of the maritime and terminal business which will contribute to an understanding of DP World’s mission, vision and values, and the business as a whole
  • Understand the assigned department related activities and gain an appreciation of the role of all internal and external stakeholders and partners involved
  • Learn and understand processes, procedures and methods related to the assigned department

Duration of the programme: 

  • 18 up to 24 months, where all the activities, learning objectives, projects, single tasks and expected outcomes are clearly specified during the programme.
Experience & Qualification

In order to give credible support to the organisation and be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Higher Diploma Certificate from an Accredited University/College
  • Computer skills
  • Conceptual and analytical thinking
  • Statistics and research skills
  • Inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills,
  • Additional language skills (e.g. either Arabic, French, Mandarin, Hindi or Urdu) an advantage, though not a prerequisite
