Our Recruitment Process

DP World's objective is to recruit applicants best suited to the positions we seek to fill. In line with our commitment to fair and equal treatment of all applicants and employees, we hire in strict accordance with relevant qualifications, experience, abilities and professional skills. Short listing, interviewing and selection will always be undertaken without regard to gender, sexual orientation, marital status, colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief.

Furthermore, individuals with a disability will not be excluded from consideration unless it is clear that their disability precludes them from performing at the level required by the position to which they are applying. Reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process will be made to ensure that qualified applicants are not disadvantaged based on a disability.

The stages of our recruitment process are as follows:

Stage 1: Online Application

Applicants are encouraged to apply online for any vacancy listed on this website. Only completed applications will be considered against criteria listed in the position description.

Stage 2: Shortlist

The short listing process involves a detailed review of experience, skills and attributes specified, against open positions. Applicants proceed to short list only if they meet and/or exceed all minimum specified requirements.

The recruitment team will contact short listed candidates directly to schedule an interview. Details of interview time and location, as well as what to expect on the day of the assessment will be communicated by email or telephone.

DP World responds to all applications in writing. Applications will remain in our employment database for a period of six months. If an applicant is not successful, his/her application may be considered for another vacant position if the applicant's experience and qualifications are deemed a fit. Applicants for one position may apply simultaneously for other open positions at any time, and/or set up job alerts to inform automatically when a position matching search criteria becomes vacant.

Stage 3: Interview and Assessment

Typically short listed applicants will be invited to a personal interview. The interview may be conducted by telephone, or video conference, or in person, or at a designated assessment centre.

As part of this process, DP World may conduct skills assessments, as well as a psychometric evaluation, depending on the nature of the position. All assessments are carried out according to objective criteria based on DP World competency standards.

Stage 4: Offer of Employment

Based on the applicant's performance during the interview, the hiring manager will make a decision as to whether or not to extend an offer. Successful applicants will be contacted by the recruitment team and given a conditional offer of employment, pending completion of background and reference checks. All records pertaining to the recruitment and assessment process will be stored for one year in accordance with DP World's Data Protection Policy.
