What are your main responsibilities?
Corporate Communications, Asia Pacific assists with all aspects of DP World's regional communications. In concert with DP World Head Office, we are responsible for maintaining positive relationships with the local press, and serve as regional guardians of DP World's brand and reputation. We coordinate community assistance projects in line with various World's “Responsible Business Practice” initiatives, in addition to handling a variety of administrative tasks related to conferences, travel, etc.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I have to say I love interacting with so many different people, across so many backgrounds. In any given week, I typically speak with colleagues from most of our regional terminals, direct questions from a wide range of press and media outlets, and interact with representatives of internal staff and community organisations. Each day is different, and I find the limits of my creativity are always being tested.
