What are your main responsibilities?
I started at the Port Authority in Jebel Ali 15 years ago as a receptionist and Customer Service Assistant. As the company has grown, so have I. Today I work as a Supervisor within the Commercial Department, UAE Region. I manage the front office, oversee corporate events, VIP delegations and port visits and conduct in-house training on elements of customer service.
What do you enjoy most about work?
I have always been in a public-facing role. It's been fantastic both to watch the company's early vision turn into a reality, but also to see how people's reactions and impressions of the company have changed with time. I also get a lot of satisfaction from ordering front office activities. When my managers are able to focus on their work, without sweating the smaller stuff, I feel I've made a difference.
